Members brought a fine assortment of
delicious food to share with all.
Jasmine Terrace, the beautiful home of the von Richthofen’s, was the perfect venue to hold our farewell party for Don and Lyn. Eighteen members and their spouse enjoyed a delicious luncheon made up by members of varying types of salads, finger foods, ham and cheese sliders, and desserts.
Much to everyone’s delight, our luncheon was followed with Don reading one of his wonderfully humorous pieces titled “Rap from an Aging Poet”. Some folks felt that it should be made into a rap song. Members then showered Don with expressions of admiration, love and anecdotes.
One of our founding members, Don is well loved and respected as a writer and as a person and will be sorely missed by all. As Don and Lyn begin this new phase of their lives in Savannah, we wish them happiness in their new home.
Members and their spouses that attended were Kathy & Leroy Wright, Barry and Debbie Darugar, Davis and Patty Temple, Linda and Gregg Wagner, Jeanne and Louis Herrero, Barb and Lee Griffiths, Liz Howels, Bob Scully, Jackie Askew and her son Jack, Jenny and Dick Bates, George and Donna Heiring, Bill and Miranda Bonner, Boots and Dale Coffed, Diane Johnson, Helen and Fritz von Richthofen, Peter and Jewel Muzyka, Mev Rozsman, Lisa Wheeler, and Charlotte Hale.
Much Love and Happiness to Don and Lyn,
Barb Griffiths
P.S. GWG thanks Helen and Fritz for their superb hospitality and opening their home for this very special event.
