GWG had a special food treat to accompany the July 28th reading
GWG Meeting Notes 7.28.15
Despite the oppressive heat, eleven
resilient GWG members gathered to share their writings and critique.
Before we began, Pete Muzyka brought
us up to date on some of the exciting things going on with the Abandoned Rural
America project. Pete encouraged all who
were available, to attend the closing reception of the current ARA Exhibition at
the Plaza in Eatonton (Friday night, 5:30 – 7:30). Evan Karanovich (Special Projects Coordinator
to Senator David Purdue) is expected to attend.
George Heiring shared a good word
with regard to this past Sunday’s guest speaker event at the Georgia Writers
Museum. John P.
Dennis, author of ‘Men Raised by Women,’ was the speaker. George reported the event was well attended
with about 60 visitors. He further
encouraged GWG members to avail themselves of these unique opportunities to
hear outstanding speakers when offered by the Georgia Writers Museum.
